오늘의 영어문장 to check in with you

by Olivia Ha 2017. 5. 25.

To check in with you
to talk to someone to let them know that you are okay

ex)

Teenager: Mom, I’m going camping for the weekend! I’ll see you on Monday.

Mom: Okay! Don’t forget to check in with me. Give me a call!

Troll

an internet user who sends inflammatory(염증을 일으키는) or provocative(짜증나게하는) messages designed to elicit negative responses or start a flame-war. (As a fisherman trolls for an unsuspecting fish.) Don’t answer those silly messages. Some troll is just looking for an argument.

None the worse
to not be harmed or damaged by something
ex)
They were trapped in the cave for a couple of days but they were none the worse for their experience.
경험했으니, 그렇게 나빴던 건 아니야.

He's lost some weight but he's none the worse (= he's better) for it.
살 빠졌지만, 잘된 일이야.
